The Administrative Board of the Courts is seeking public comment on the following:

• Proposed amendment of Rule 4.2 of the Rules of Professional Conduct (22 NYCRR Part 1200), clarifying that where a lawyer is acting as a party in a matter, rather than as an advocate, the lawyer-litigant may contact an adversary litigant so long as reasonable advance notice is provided to the adversary's counsel. A 45-day comment period expires on June 4.

• Proposed revisions to the following Request for Judicial Intervention (RJI) forms: RJI Form (UCS-840); RJI Addendum (UCS-840A); and Foreclosure RJI Addendum (UCS-840F). A 45-day comment period expires on June 4.

The text of the proposed amendments and other explanatory materials is posted at www.nycourts.gov/rules/comments/, with each proposal assigned a unique e-mail address on the site for those who want to comment in that format. Comments may also be submitted to John McConnell, Counsel, Office of Court Administration, 25 Beaver St., 11th floor, New York, N.Y., 10004.
