Attn Real Estate Practitioners *** ACRIS ENHANCEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT ***

posted Sep 23, 2013, 5:27 AM by Pete Weinman

As of September 23, 2013, ACRIS will support the transfer of eTax and Cover Page transactions from one ACRIS Customer Profile to another. Detailed instructions for how to transfer a transaction will be available in the online help for eTax and Cover Page and for quick reference are reproduced below. Transfer will be performed from the eTax and Cover Page transaction summary screens and can be between Customer Profiles owned by the same NYC.ID account or between Customer Profiles owned by different NYC.ID accounts. Transfer will require entry of both the target NYC.ID email address and matching Customer Profile.

Transfer an eTax Transaction to another Customer Profile

It is quite common that an end user of the ACRIS system will create an e-Tax transaction and want to share that transaction with another user EITHER for review OR to complete pertinent sections of the document(s) within the transaction.

An eTax transaction that is not associated to a Cover Page or one that is associated with a Cover Page, but has not been submitted may be transferred to another customer profile. To transfer from the current customer profile, first click on the Show button and enter the NYC.IDEmail address and Customer Profile to whom you wish to transfer the transaction. Note that the Customer Profile can be a different one under the current NYC.ID Email address. Next, click on the Transfer button. The eTax transaction will now be transferred to the entered customer profile. At this point, the eTax transaction will no longer be unavailable to the currently selected customer profile.

When the other party has completed their inputs / review of the e-Tax transaction, they can either transfer the transaction back to the original user or retain ownership. As with any eTax transaction, for submission the tax transaction must be attached to a Cover Page transaction which may or may not be owned by the Customer Profile who created the tax forms.

Transfer a Cover Page Transaction to another Customer Profile

It is quite common that an end user of the ACRIS system will retrieve a Cover Page transaction and want to share that transaction with another user EITHER for review OR to complete pertinent sections of the document(s) within the transaction.

A Cover Page transaction that has not been submitted may be transferred to another customer profile. To transfer from the current customer profile, first click on the Show button and enter the NYC.ID email address and Customer Profile to whom you wish to transfer the transaction (the Customer Profile can be a different one under the current NYC.ID Email address). Next, click on the Transfer button. The Cover Page transaction will now be transferred to the entered customer profile. At this point, the Cover Page transaction will no longer be unavailable to the currently selected customer profile

When the other party has completed their inputs / review of the Cover Page transaction, they can either transfer the transaction back to the original user for submission or submit it themselves. Note that if the Cover Page transaction is an e-submission transaction, it can only be transferred to a NYC.ID email address that is also authorized for e-submission.
